Bang Up To The Elephant

---------- Forwarded message ----------

To love and live with free intent, makes people do what never thought.

I thought for days and weeks, to find the why between the trees.

For me the search was far and wide, I walked and stalked, gal seeking

But too often sees my soul, was the two out of three girl prostrated.

I toiled in my head to sort, the feelings, the touch the gaze alone.

But never once to see the ball, all too often I turn and moment gone

That moment never need remain, for even if the girl she sang,

For me she still would be, the two out of three girl damfino.

Bricky often, sometimes gigglemug, I gaze and got the morbs.

I sit in halls dark half rats, and try to split the hairs betwixed.

Twas upbringing the cause or dream, that locks me in my mind today

Myself I ask in tempered voice, the two out of three girl skilamalink

I look around my city crumbling; I stand with shoulders touching few,

Shake a flannin, it seems for centuries, head just above the water rising

I know for sure twas upbringing, the brethren huddled thus creating

In pool cry aloud and wake, the two out of three girl has become unabridged

Author's Notes/Comments:

In a fained attempt at creating a neo-classical adaptation of what Valentine’s Day means to me, I offer up this soliloquy written in prose, for the audience to decipher.

From once it came, till now it is, remember the martyrdom honored by the catholic church that entrenched this now lighthearted holiday  started when Emperor Claudius II executed two men both maned Valentine on two separate years in the 3rd century.
