This is not a true story of me, just a fictional idea. The first person speaker (a woman) feels possessed by this man who controls and abuses her. She can't break free from him though she deeply desires to be free. Even when she gets the chance to flee, she just returns to him. It's a psychological insecurity many people face, especially those in bad relationships. The heart feels it is right even though the mind knows it is wrong. There is lots of usage of slant rhyme and the rhyme scheme changes part way through the poem. Hopefully this draws emotion out of anyone who has experienced a heart break of some sort.
I drew a picture to go along with this poem! Posted it on deviantart.com called Hypnotist's Love. My username is TheNightmare013 on that website, so please check it out! Maybe even like or leave a comment too! ;)
I love other people's opinons good or bad, so please leave a comment, critique, encouragement, suggestions, anything! I would love it! Thanks for reading!
