Strike Me Blind and Call Me Helen (Just Another Day On The Train

Author's Notes/Comments:

Essentially, this is a gag-poem - I needed to vent...things just seemed all too bizarre...anger gave way to frustration...frustration to hysteria - I was laughing by the end of it. Soo out of character...I'm never that hostile...noo, not me...NEVER! lol... Apologies for the profanity, it's been censored...kinda... and Machine Gun Fellatio is a band for anyone who thinks I was being suicidal...MGF ROCK!! Anyways, Chris...your poem is up! so GET OFF MY BAAAAAAAAAACK BUSTER!!! GRRRRR ;oP Dunna say, I never do nothin' for ya, never 'k? Luv ya, hun! *MWHA*

When I wrote this, I had no Idea what I was writing about. When I read it again, I realized it was about abuse.

Michael Dukakis

Author's Notes/Comments:

Thank you to Michael
Dukakis, governor of Massachusetts, framed by
hundreds of categories
of dirty tricks by
his opponents.

Dukakis works tirelessly
to develop train mass transit
and takes mass transit to
work.
May he also work to end
Massachusetts' role
as the chief vivisector
among the states.

The Visiting Angel

Author's Notes/Comments:

All is well at the time of the visit.  An angel looks upon a nine month old baby and knows that she is to be the guardian of his life. To prepare him for what lies ahead must be done quickly, for the time is near when he will be stricken.  This is the picture I must carry to somehow help me feel the baby in "The Visiting Angel" could somehow, even in the newness of his life, be granted some kind of understanding for the life that he must live. You see, this sadly is a true story.  The baby that is spoken of here is my husband.  It took him years to reveal to me the travisy of his childhood. He was stricken with polio at nine months of age and has lived the horror of all the angel spoke of.  As the angel promised, he today, is a loving father, a treasured husband, and is admired by all that relishes in his acomplishments. Perhaps the story of the Angel's visit was not just a picture upon my heart.  Perhaps years ago in the stillness of his nursery he was truly visited by an Angel. Perhaps in truth, this very angel has helped him to become the genuinly wonderful man that he has become. Lesa
