Isaac Tigrett, native of Jackson, Tennessee, is the founder of the Hard Rock Cafes. Both of his brothers died tragically, one in his childhood and one who killed himself.
Tigrett was born with psychic gifts. One day he heard a voice say
'Buy the rights to the Secret Life of Plants'. He did buy the rights to the book whose sales were failing. It began to climb and was eventually on the NY Times best seller list for 57 weeks. (The awareness of the consciousness of plants has changed the life of many. It was proven in 1895 by Chandra Bose who was knighted by Queen Victoria for his crescograph machine.)
One night Tigrett was driving his car at 5am in California, had fallen
asleep inebriated, when his car crashed through a guardrail toward
a 300 to 400 foot drop. A man materialized in mid air and held onto him
in the car as it spun around 10 times. The man set him down on the ground. Months went by.
Time passed and he was in a London book store, seeing a book with the picture of the man who had saved his life. The name was Sai Baba. He bought the book and made immediate plans to go to Baba's ashram in Puttaparthi India.
Months went by. He was in Denver Colorado at 1am high on cocaine and had an epileptic fit. He had died after swallowing his tongue. Tigrett heard Baba say 'repeat your guru's name'. He did. Baba appeared and pulled his tongue out of his throat and pushed him back into his body, then left.
He went again to Baba's ashram. But he was not able to speak to the guru, For 14 years he went annually and never got an interview. He broke a record... the only Westerner who had made 14
trips without eliciting a conversation. In the meantime devotees were saying it was not a good idea to be selling meat and alcohol in many cities. He finally sold the 40 Hard Rock Cafes
and Baba gave him an interview. Tigrett gave much of the proceeds of
the restaurant chain sale to an absolutely free
hospital in Bangalore India which performs 10,000 no charge heart
operations yearly. American insurance companies have sent clients
there. The World Health Organization had 10 doctors who said before its construction that
the hospital could never work.
From the time he was young, Tigrett has always been able to pull
energy into his body through meditation. Baba had him also
go to expand his meditation working with Phyllis Krystal. He would
go into a trance for 4 hours a day. He said that thoughts are pure energy which cannot be destroyed. They gather on the astral plane. It is important to think only positive thoughts. What we think we manifest.
