The shadow that’s’ besides me,
Is the darkest me of doubt,
Excepting that it follows me,
Knowing there’s no way out,
The light that brings the image,
A dark sheltered side of my form,
I glance upon it so briefly,
Till fear sends me rushing home,
If I could live in darkness,
Then no shadow would I cast,
But I know that I detest,
As I know that from my past,
I cannot live without the sun,
This cannot then ever become,
My shadow I’ll just let be,
So long as it bothers not me.
