The Reluctant Muse (2) Our Poet's answer

I write this answer with a sorry heart,

my wife, my muse.

Is being torn apart.

She cannot see her magnificent charm,

with poetry i will do no harm.

Her beauty is beyond my miserable attempts with a pen.

To me she is perfect,

and deserves my simple odes.

But through her Sadness and anger i will not write.

If she does not believe her status in my life,

this pen will forever rest.

And the words can remain in my head.

I must find another way to honor my love.

I know how hard it is to write in the second or third person and you did an excellent job with this. When you say in this piece the person spoken of does not believe the words about herself it makes me think about another phrase like when someone says to because of misc situations you're strong as to being a survivor .From the person receiving the compliment it's nice but you don't belive it because you figure you do what you need to do to get by so it's a survival instinct not necessarily a strength..
