If I try hard enough
Will all the pain go away?
All of the confusions
And worries,
Will they vanish?
How long must I
Continue
To live like this?
I want to take a step
Outside
And take a breath
Of freedom.
I've been locked up
For too long.
I want to spread my arms
And pray that they turn into wings.
But
Even if I am able to
Go outside.
I will always have to come back
To this place
Where my dreams have died
And rotted.
Someone save me.
Please.
It stings my heart
To know that
I'll be imprisoned here
For the rest of my life.
