Smart
Smart,
People said she was smart,
Yet they put her in lower class,
What they didn't want her to become successful,
How inconsiderate is that,
Every man was created equal,
Just because she was dyslexic,
Doesn't mean anything,
It doesn't make her any different from anyone else,
Some of the worlds greatest were dyslexic,
Her IQ was even higher than her fathers,
Yes she was raised in the South,
Her grades weren't the best,
But that doesn't make her stupid,
She is smart outside of school,
She loves new words,
The poetry just made her smarter,
As she followed her sister,
Many people didn't like that,
But she didn't let that get under her skin,
Yet in the end they said she was,
Smart.
