resonate…
unlike any other I have encountered, watching a breath of air so calm
Rush quietly through a foggy veil of trees;
and gently caress your perfect dark hair.

dawn…
time when the vast blue sky fades into a palette of
Yellow and orange – when you feel as though you’re
rapidly losing control of the things you once could bare.

shine…
through the darkness so beautifully, as if this was
A sacred image: captured in a photograph – in order to simply
freeze this moment… a memory so fair.

memorable…
that unique smile… a feature never to be detected in another:
Never before and never again – you always “smiled like you meant it”
and now…. “I need you like a heart needs a beat”.

eyes…
the color of amber, similar to 3 distinct
Shades of an owl in a city of no lights – no one
knew you could be capable of such deceit.

life…
one in which ended abruptly: a single shot to the heart;
Causing chaos – to all that once surrounded you and
wanted nothing but to make your heart complete.

remain…
forever circling the sky on my nights of loneliness:
Out-glowing the 15 others that dreamed
of being like you – brightest of the bright.

eighteen…
you will forever linger. I think of you and wish that it wasn’t
“Too late to apologize” – you abandoned me and now I’m left
with empty arms, 9 months that I was unsuccessful at catching your light.
now…

you cease to be, just as fast as you flutter through the sky,
Touching all that witnessed this captivating image:
you are gone now, but you will always be… to this very night…
