I try to speak but my words are lost,
Behind the raised voices,
My stories untold,
His hand clasps over my mouth as he tells me to hush,
I'm told to stop spewing nonsense,
I have no feelings, no worthy voice.
I'm inferior minded and don't have a say.
My words make no sense,
I'm forced to keep them to myself,
When my voice is heard by others,
They see my point and understand what I say,
But he won't take the time to listen,
Won't take the time to change,
I'm trapped in silence with nothing more to say.
