What does love have to do with it

Asking the question no one knows the answer to

Boys lie and girls fall

Everyone goes through this shit

Now I know how hard it hits

I'm a woman now so those lies they miss 

I've been lifted so high

Only to be dropped for it

I call it young love

I said everyone goes through that shit

That fist that had so much power in it

Punched a hole in my heart

Nearly died from it

Those hands that you said would protect me

Deemed fit for our split my love

Now I remember the being and the end

Never forgetting the fights in between

Using love as a lie to hold down a young queen

Will only get you fucked in the end

Just not the way that you planned
