Once before time you captured my heart

That unfamiliar face, so bright with a smile

An alchemist blended our souls

You were painted on my mind, those unforgettable times

We prospered in many ways, but not forgetting our purpose

Deeply gazing into each other we made promises

Hearts never lie, our words were like the jack of all trades



Before we knew it, things were heading down the drain

Outside parties flew their feelings like an uncontrollable wind

Feeling their hatred and jealousy

Mingle with them and see their truth

Open my mind I see your truth

I know now the one of lies



Bring your army of solitude, my fist will strike you down

But not before I grant myself serenity

Your pain only makes me stronger

Our actions do us no justice

I can never look at you the same

Take your dark obsession and go

I am now free, leave me here alone



Carry on without me, I'm better off

What might be salvaged will now be trash

Here we stand, our greatest lie

Walk down your path of sorrow, I live only for myself

Shunning you from my heart, locking away that part

Leave me be, we are through
