Mother

Misc Poems

I am the mother bear,
Watching over her baby bears,
Chasing off the hunters,
Catching all the fish.

I am the mother duck,
Watching over her baby ducks,
Leading them from harm,
Teaching them to swim.

I am the mother cat,
Watching over her baby cats,
Giving them milk to drink,
Cleaning their soft fur.

Protective am I, and loving always.
I have borne no children, but
Some call me “Mother.”

Author's Notes/Comments:

Long story short, I'm really overprotective and motherly towards my close friends, and they all call me Momma. So I wrote a poem about it.
