Saying you'll never start a war

Yet day after day we argue.

Saying you'll never lie,

Yet you never tell the whole truth.

Saying you'll never cry

Yet you're always sad inside.

Saying you'll never be untidy,

Yet your life is such a mess.

Saying you'll always be smart.

Yet never giving us the answers

Not knowing what to do,

So very uncertain,

Always giving GOd our prayers.
