It is hard for me to understand
How everything is really supposed be
When everyone was laughing
I assumed they were laughing at me

And I pushed my hands a little further down my pockets
And I let my hood shield my face
In a world full of so much beauty
I guess I just didn't think there'd be space... for me

When they saw that I was hurting
They asked, "who did this to you?"
It was as strange as it was deterring
I said, "leave me be, I'll just hurt you too."

And I pulled my sleeves over my hands
And I let my hair blow in the wind
In a world full of so much wonder
I guess I just didn't think I'd fit in... somewhere

It is hard for me to understand
How everything is supposed to be
When everyone was truly happy
I assumed that those feelings weren't meant for me...
