Moonlight so thick it drips through the trees

Like honey on a hot summer night

It sweetens the shadows that laze beneath

Dancing softly when the breeze takes flight

Roses sigh goodnight whispering their perfume

Their fragrant bouquet lending magic to the dark

Suspended in time to welcome the stars

Scented kisses enhance twilights sparks

This evening embraced as though in a dream

Time just a whim to be held at bay

Floating peacefully in the beauty of a perfect moment

Into its romance I am swept away
