I was upset by everything that was happening in my life,
It was all so much out of my control.
I didn’t know where to run to,
I couldn’t believe I was running at all.
It seemed that it helped me to think,
Just wanting to get away from it all.
I ran blindly in a direction and came upon a gate.
It was an old gate attached to a crumbling stone wall,
Both barely standing the test of time.
The atmosphere seemed bleak but it seemed to relieve some of my tensions too.
I peered through the worn bars and saw that the wall enclosed a graveyard.
It was beautiful in a way,
How the light illuminated various gravestones through the branches of the trees.
No one was around and there was a tranquility that permeated the air.
