Minutes
Laying here wide awake
about to go insane.
The numbers on that digatil clock
have'nt seemed to change.
Is this the way things really are
the way they really seem.
Am I really laying here awake
or is this a Bad Bad Dream?
Wait a minute there it goes
the clock reads 5 A M
Time for me to get up
and let my long long day begin.
Coffee with the morning News
not a whole lot there to see.
Grab my Laptop,check my mail
and send all the Junk to Delete.
Dont really feel hungry
see no sense in eating.
Then I send my sister a morning text
to let her know that I'm still breathing.
The time before daylight is my time
just Me the cool and dark.
As I watch the minutes fade
and another day gets its start.
My time now can be short
things can change pretty fast.
But am I doomed to spend that time
watching the clock as the minutes pass?
What happened to the old me that was happy
I guess he faded away with the past.
I never ever seem to smile
and hardly ever will you hear me laugh.
So its just me and the clock
in daylight and the night.
Watching the minutes fade away
as they eat away at My Life....
