So our hearts and heads can stop spinning
And, the sum of our parts can start healing
There are words that unite
There are words that divide
There are words that hurt
And, there are words that provide healing
They are ours to choose
Ours to set loose
Ours to use our tongues to speak up and of
It's time we start speaking our hearts instead of minds
Start seeking all our pride denies
Start asking ourselves why
We've grown so content barely eking by
When we know there's so much more to life
And, that we only get one chance to live it
We are men and we are women
We are not our professions
We are human and we are kind
We are full of love and pride
Therefore, we must decide
Which will enlighten
The meaning defined behind the words we choose
The words we set loose
And, the way we use our tongues from this day forth
