Been mixing chemicals and solutions

Figuring out when

These molecules became pollution for my soul

Attach one here

Subtract one there

Balance the potion

Devour the fear

With a glass of whatever will wash down the pills

And, make everything clear

Cause, science can only go so far

You can play with the statistics

Manipulate the data

Make your charts

State your theories for the unknown

Explain the light by defining the dark

But, you can never break down

Or explain how love enters a heart

I've been reading up on poets

The science the turns politicians into prophets

And, it's a joke

That the big stick holds the brains

Cause, with such wisdom, why then is such brawn

Needed to impose another's will upon

Another's life until that other's life is gone

With nothing gained but prison walls

With policies for bars

And, I've been searching for answers for something inside myself

And, look out to see an ocean of people too weak to carry themselves

And, I'm one

And, there are solutions in our souls that need no chemicals

And, there is pollution that we must rid ourselves of

If we are to break these walls

And, it's called heeding the call

When our hearts tell us it's okay to take the fall and live in love

And, love our neighbors as us ourselves
