Simple like a letter
Scripts and scrolls of ink
The playful nudging
The saddest banter
With twists and turns and seeds of sewing
Shadows on paper ebbing and flowing
Depending on the light of the sun
Once pen meets forefinger
Forefinger entices thumb
To open the gates of the mind's own flood
With filaments glowing
Red and orange
Switches throw, breakers blow
As blue and yellow stay poised
Noise blares from megaphones overhead
As horses and reindeer dance past Santa's sled
Babies laugh like music to a mother's ear
As fathers capture the moment so clearly
Hid somewhere behind a camera's lens
Milk bottles and stuffed bears
"Give your best shot.
Just aim right here.
It could all be yours if you just knock 'em all down at once."
What a magnificent day to be a kid
The elephants dancing beneath artist's on the trapeze
Besides, the Oldest Man to Live
Is handing out cotton-candy
And, I just won myself a bear
