There are images in my head
Things most boys don’t or won’t admit they dream of
But, here I am
In the most perfect of days
Dreaming away the time
Until it passes and you paint your love in my eyes
And, you draw me into yours
My father once gave me his wisdom
The kind most sons hear then quickly forget
He told me a tale of his own love
My mother in a beautiful dress
And, of the wisdom his own father gave him
“In love, you give what you get
So, give ‘til you’ve got nothing left”
Space between lines
It’s sometimes hard to decipher the meaning of
But, when two fall in love
And, the two lines become one
Time, and place, and space, and hurt all dissolve
And eyes, and hearts, and lips, and veins
Solve the meaning of what was missing
And, now those images that were in my head
Have become the life my eyes now take in
And, now here you are
And, so I am finally gaining the wisdom
My father’s father once gave him
And, so I will give every bit of myself
Just to taste the love on your lips
