You’ve got to live

You’ve got to live your life

By giving your heart away

And, you will find

A heart in love is a heart alive



You can’t give up on love this time

You’ve got to try

You’ve got to try out your eyes

By exposing them to light

And, you will find

Innocent eyes and a new way of life



I can’t tell you how to live

But, I can tell you where to begin

You’ve got to love

You’ve got to live

Until the only question left

Is when you will begin



You can’t give up on love with all this evidence

You’ve got to stand

You’ve got to stand with confidence

By listening to the truth

And, you will solve this

Question through which your heart's been having to sift

You’ve got to fight the urge to resist

By finding a love worth fighting for

And, you will know by its persistence

That your heart has found a love worth fighting for
