I have seen the valley walls, so tall and firm
I have raised my voice to call, but through the echoes I could not discern
The Grace through with a silent prayer can scream
I have fallen short of the glory, only to be raised
I have heard the wondrous stories, but have not allowed my heart to change
Though Mercy is changing the song my heart sings
I will lift You up, My God, My King
And, with love from my lungs, I will praise, I will sing
Of how the One who died
Willingly gave His own life
So, that through His own death
He might resurrect life into mine
I have been captive in my sins, sick and tired
I have been deceived through life’s lens, choosing my own over His desires
Though Purity He freely pours down upon me
I will lift You up, My God, My King
And, with love from my lungs, I will praise, I will sing, for…
The forgiveness you have shown to me
Has been the coolest, cleansing stream
Feeding these pasture’s so green
In which You have chosen to lay me, so…
I will lift You up, My God, My King
And, with love from my lungs, I will praise, I will sing
Of how the One who died
Willingly gave His own life
So, that through His own death
He might resurrect life into mine
