So, this is what it is

And all it's ever been

Is an illusion to who I never am

And a projection to who I wish I was

And I think the shadows are falling down all around you

And I think that they fit you like your favorite sweater

I only wish I knew you like you do yourself



What's in that head

Thoughts so delicate

Yet so dirty

Come off so innocent

It's like you knew what I was thinking



Now, you caught me

Staring like a little baby

At something I can't yet put meaning to

All I know is I'd like to

If you'd let me discover what you're needing

And if you'd allow me to



Well, now it seems we've gotten ourselves into something

Something bigger than the best lie we could use to explain
