I wish I were still with you

Though in the here and in the now

I?m content in the sentiment of knowing what I knew

Cause desire breeds imagination birthing pursuit



I hear you?re now in Baton Rouge

But it?s hard to say just if it?s worth it

Living with more money to spend than you could lose

Cause your new life is your old life only difference is the muse



I read it through over five times

Exhausted the worth I felt it ever had

Searching the vacuum above and below every line

In hopes of finding all the answers to all the "whys"



I stood on the edge nearly nightly

Only to find myself shake at the thought

That one step forward would put you behind me

And I realized then there was no reason not to take this lightly
