I swear if I had something that mattered

Would you still feel so shattered and drawn straight to me

And now the time has come that I must let you part

I swear I wish I could have let you know

Before it came to these blows

But you never learned to listen

Cling tight to your position

Without recognizing the symptoms

Of what you’re putting me through



Now, where we're at, is the place where two become one

On the edge of life, and learning how to live it

And then again, on the edge of love, after learning how to make it



And I have learned, that everything inside of me

Though hurts, is working towards my destiny

And that though my nerves seem to keep getting the best of me

It's worth the anxiety seeing you smile back at me

So open up your eyes, and this time I’m going to show you

Exactly what it is you mean to me

And how you keep me believing

Even in the times everything seems to be falling through

You keep pulling me through

Keep me coming back to you

My God, this time I'm going to show you

That the love I have, God gave me to give to you
