Another fight

Am I reverting back into a child

Who spent his entire life wanting to be old

Like a diamond again longing to be premature and coal

What’s wrong, it doesn’t make sense anymore



This revolving door is cruel

You walk in so young and green

And in the vacuum between you get desperate

For breath then is the only factor you lack

A heart ceases to beat



Your eyes were so tired

And I could see the pain slowly escape

As you looked in my eyes and wondered why

That the child you created was treating you this way

But you looked away just as it fell on the floor

Why was I breaking your heart

I can’t remember anymore



There must have been a reason for this

Although at present it escapes my mind
