Six Billion

Folder:
The Present

I forgot what it means to be alive

After losing the sight and hand of the one I loved

I thought that the world was against me

Just pushing me deeper into a hole

It was just my weakness, I now know

That the world keeps turning

That the world somehow heals the hurting

When the pain gets too much for one person to bear

Six billion fighting for some so-called differences

Why can’t they see the common ground  hidden in their hearts

Six billion were all but lost

Until one Man changed it all

We are all slaves to our desires

But they only satisfy temptation for awhile

The Fire is now against us all

Just pushing us deeper into a hole

The Tempter preys on weakness, we all know

That world is barely turning

When the world somehow worsens the hurting

When the pain gets too much for one person to bear

Six billion fighting for some so-called differences

Why can’t they see the common ground hidden in their hearts

Six billion were all but lost

Until one Man changed it all

He said, “Love your enemy, because where’s the reward in hating.”

And when you finally learn how to

Me and your Father will be waiting

For our children to come Home

To come to Paradise

Six billion were all but lost

Until one Man changed it all
