This room is dark
Two of the bulbs burned out
Just filled with a blackened ash
A silhouette in the shadow of the past
Doesn't this sound familiar
The beating of the skeletons at the door
The flesh turns to bones then to powder ash
Like when the regrets you lived suddenly flashback
But don't let that break you down
Patch the hole that you found
Pull that dagger out of your back
And turn that anger into somthing they won't expect
Like when they spit on your cheek, spit back respect
Crucify them with a cross that will save their lives
And I don't know if I'm liked here
But I'm doing what my heart tells me
And if there's a crime in that
You can shackle my wrists
You can put a ball and chain on my feet
But my tongue will still be free
And you will have to hear the words I speak
And I know it's hard for you to hear
"I forgive you" when you think you've done nothing wrong
But that reason right there is why I do
And don't let that break you down
Cause only you can patch that hole
Where you think you lack, but the world doens't see it
Cause your as strong as they'll ever be
In fact probably that much stronger for being humble
Start crucifying them on a cross that will change their lives
When they spit on you, spit back respect in diguise
