I've been down on myself

And you don't know how it feels

To have the one you love leave

To watch the best friend you've ever had

Walk away when you needed them the most

I said, "You don't know how it feels"

She looked at me and said, "Maybe I do"



I've been at this red light before

Where the crosswalk washes them away

And they walk in front of me

And they talk quietly behind my back

And they don't even know who I am

Or what I had before this light turned red



Holding each other we cry

In arms we seem to feel so safe

What it feels like to be forgotten

The same sick feeling when you hit the bottom

Right after someone walks out of your life

I said, "Do you know how it feels?"
