My Thoughts So it seems I just passed by
Turned around and wondered why
I didn't stop to make things right
It has something to do with forgiveness
Toward the two people who are always in us
Keeping the fence strong that's between us
But I think this time we're breaking that wall down
So with effort I turn toward you
I've learned from what I've been through
And in the middle of this day I see things right
That no matter the cost and no matter the sacrifice
Even if I'm shot down never again will I think twice
About tearing down the fence that's between us
I think this time I'm going to break that wall down
Step through to the other side
And have the faith we'll somehow find
Some piece of middle ground to rebuild what was lost
To in the end find some type of common ground
Where we keep our past from coming back around
And all I can see is you looking me in the eye
I'm so glad we found a way to break that wall down
