Hazy impressions in my mind

It's blurring in my eyes

It's making me lose my sight

Of what I've always wanted



There's more if I reach a little farther

If I try a little harder for you

Would it make you see me a little differently

Would it make you change completely for me

Open your eyes and you will see

There can be so much more



Stretch your arms out to me

And I'll catch you if you fall

I'll be here standing tall

With arms wide open for you



You are there when I'm gone

To find myself again

You are there when I'm gone

To find my peace-of-mind



I know you have to go now to find yourself

But please don't put our memories on a dusty shelf

I believe your so very fine

You only get better like an aged wine

But if you have a moment in your life when you find someone new

Just know that everything I said to you was so very true



Stretch your arms and find who you are

But know I'll be here to catch you

And no matter the distance, it's not too far

Just get yourself in your car and drive home to me
