Dusty draped in her best dress
She’s pressing her face into his chest
And as she hugs his wounded body, it slips away
And so she’s cry’s out to elevate her own pain
The moment that her only love is lowered into his grave
Life is slowly losing shape
The true reality of cruel mortality
Is the reason that we love so hard
When we can’t love forever
And the reason that we live so fast
When we’re living to love another
It’s not a blessing or a curse
The in betweens of the stages of when it hurts
We’re all just meant to be living in the moment
Whether we choose to ride it or choose and own it
The way you live before you die is all in the way you mold it
Life is slowly losing shape
The true reality of cruel mortality
Is the reason that we love so hard
When we can’t love forever
And the reason that we live so fast
When we’re living to love another
Don’t look back and wish you lived different
Aren’t we all the people we were supposed to be
Didn’t we love the one’s that we should have
If we loved, we were a small piece of the purpose of life
Life is slowly taking shape
The true reality of beautiful mortality
Is the reason that we love so hard
When we can’t love forever
And the reason that we live so fast
Is so we can have enough time to love another
We are all a small piece of the purpose of life
When we’re living to love another
