In Her Own Time

Can you know love without first having knowledge of what love’s supposed to be

Can you possibly taste the sweetness without having first tasted the bitterness

Of the honeybee’s sting

Heart breaking belief

Just like a best friend moving away without a warning or a final embrace

Just like a stranger whose words in turn turn them into a capable friend

Unease often becomes beauty

On life’s evolving journey

I am searching for something

Pushing through nerves and pride

Praying for her in time to come to me

In her own time

She will find me searching no more

Can you believe in someone so much that belief outside of that person is gone

Can you sift through faces and pick out the one soul that’s been set apart

From the mistakes of a past

And finally love at long last

And, I believe she will find me

In her own time

And, I believe when she finds me

She will find me searching no more
