You make your home a fortress safe
You provide leadership love and faith
With a hand that comforts in commotion
And a voice that sooths turbulent emotion
Sometimes it seems you are forgotten, barely talked about
But your purpose in your family is great there is no doubt
That without your seed there would be no breed
Thus you are the root of your family shoot
Your labor your patience and love reflect your kindness
Your children look up to you in your likeness
Your family take your hand in complete assurance
that you have their heart in your hand with endurance
Sacrificing so that their needed supply is met each day
therefore father is name they love to say
because you take time to play and to pray
leading them to one that is greatest
Which makes you worthy to be called father.
