The rain, as it falls
So gently to the ground
Is singing me to sleep
Drenching the earth
In it's cool, clean nectar
The thunder drums
Occasionally in the background
Every drip that falls
From the darkened sky
Has an earthly destination
Bringing about a glowing green
Just as spring tips its hat
In the quiet of night
As roses open their budding hearts
Catching the rain like buckets
And drinking it like lemonade
Leaving us a bright new world
The next day after our slumber
