I'm At Peace My Friend

“I’m At Peace My Friend”

My work is over, I’m at peace my friend!

I’m very close, to my end.

I’ll tell you a story, how I came to be.

Jesus let me work, to do what I please!

I did it my way, I‘m here to tell.

My life has been through, a living Hell!

I drove a truck; I built a house.

I killed a few bugs, even a mouse.

I started a fire; it grew hotter and higher!

I cooked and cleaned if you know what I mean.

It’s over for me, life goes on.

I’ll come back a Deer, maybe a Fawn!

Did I misunderstand

Did I misunderstand something?  I thought our conversations had been about Christian belief; but this poem suggests a kind of reincarnation.  Human beings are the pinnacle of God's creation; they are the only created beings said to be "made in His image."  How, then, would He allow you to "return' as something less than what you were when you began?  I guess I am not understanding the belief position from which you are writing.

I'm At Peace My Friend

I believe all creatures have a souls, Horses, Dogs and Cats ect.

"Search And Seizure"

My hands hurt, from doing the deed.

Rolling joints and smoking weed.

My head is light, my eyes are red.

The cops show up to search the crib.

They search the place from front and back.

The puppy lays on my black bag.

They praised the dog for what she found!

I had to turn the music down.

The Dog is smart, she has a soul.

The ribbon was blue, not solid gold.

All creatures go to Heaven, that's my belief!

My paper is ready to receive!
