“Sam And I”
I joined the Army in ’83.
To see the sights, they were telling me!
I hopped a flight from my home state.
Stood there guarding a back gate.
Late one night, at the gate!
A car approaching, it was really - late!
My friend jumps out with orders in hand,
Screaming and shouting, man-o-man!
The orders called in it’s time to roll,
To a Texas town called San Anton.
The music is hot, the girls are too!
The beer is great, so is the food.
I bought a car from some old man.
Met a girl, will call Sam!
She stood so high, thin as a pole.
When she spoke my Heart felt old.
