I know I would never hurt a cop
For police I have great respect
If I ever dared to
They would put a rope around my neck
Policeman risk their life for me
They risk life everyday
They get no recognition
They get very little pay
The men in blue or heroes
They protect us with a bang
If I ever hurt a cop
It's sure that I would hang
If I hurt police who would die from me
They would have me swinging from a tree
