I have a headache, I am annoyed.

I have a sunburn, too much happy sunshine.

Light me on fire and watch me laugh.

Sordid and mysterious,

yet I am on the right side.

Never wanted there to even be sides

but here we are.

If I started crying, don't think I could stop

I push the tears down, 

it's just a waste of time.

Making me laugh, this is what it takes?

Going with the flow, what exactly is at stake?

Push me to the ground, full force of your shame

But Lord God knows I am not the one to blame.

Pick me up for once, help me to my feet

Help me feel the pleasure of my own heart beat.

Be a better person, try, work harder

Stop working 'smarter', for once work harder.

There's nothing I wouldn't do for you then

If only you could just fine tune your morals 

and get off your dubious high horse

make your own hooves take you there.

And I'd be right by your side...
