I have two tasks:

Character building

(And when that gets too depressing

As the gates of Karma are resistant

And heavy)

Then my task, the 'two' of my

One-Two punch,

is to inhabit a 'Witness Consciousness'

as best I can.

When I see my weakness

And make no progress

After years,

No, decades, of effort,

I'll remind myself of the good news:

That my achievements make no dent

On the Record of my Life;

The effort I put forth, however,

Does move the meter.

Effort, (even with no discernible effect),

Suprisingly,

All the Angels inscribe,

In the Book of Life,

And this awareness, this thought,

Propels me into 'Witness Consciousness'.

My eye is finally off the ball, and I am in the

Camera of Life

Recording it all.

...Witness Consciousness......

And from this perspective,

As the camera draws away

For a wide angle shot,

I see the earnestness of effort

And I am myself moved and softened,

Standing as I am, now,

Among Angels.
