The Singularity
It's already here.
No holding it back.
The human mind is turbulent.
This morning I watch my roomba.....
get trapped among chair legs.
It kept turning and bumping and
trying to escape...and finally !...
but then it turns back to try again,
over and over, determined to carry out
its purpose that it does not know.
I was impressed with its childlike determination
not to left obstacles have the last word. After it
makes its point, it seems, it moves on.
I was thinking: this robot is not too bright.
But it is out mapping the world, in its secret heart.
quite the same as do I.
