When the whole world
comes against you
to destroy your heart

Stand child
and know
that I am God!

When they seek to devour
with their mouths so full of hate
know that I am listening at the gate.

The watchers, watch
the wheel of many eyes
is seeing your fate.

Guard yourself
with my love
and do not allow them
to cause you to falter.

I am your nursemaid
and I will bandage
your wounds
and tend your suffering.

When they come against you
know that I am God
and I will protect you
even unto my death.

Into the fire they may
place your being
stand child and know
that I am there.

and you will not feel
the heat of their contention
but instead my loving arms
dancing all about your fear.
