Fallen into drunkenness..
I became my father/ look at what I’ve done/ I knew what I was doing/ did it anyway/ hard to keep it in/ I burned so badly/ this time I’ve fallen/ from the vow I couldn’t keep/ I couldn’t fight it/ when old urges come back/ thought it was over/ but it never is/ it never was/ no strength was within me/ as I grabbed the bottled/ and poured myself to sleep/ drink until forgotten/ no use in remembering/ no pain dealt/ till’ my eyes opened up/ than the headache begins/ anger to regret/ harsh words are than said/ swirling Ferris wheels/ of open wounds and endless memories/ intoxicated and wasted/ this can’t seem to end/ the nightmares begin/ falling even deeper/ no one to say no/ just the blistering cold/ as friends come and go/ the rational leaves/ no more sanity/ doing what I don’t/ there’s no one to blame/ I did it on my own/ no fault but mine/ I did it/ goodbye..
