The words and slander/ killing the ego/ the deceit and betrayal/ have caused the bloody red tears/ to drip down my soul/ the memory you have caused/ I’ll remember it through and through/ hard to forget/ how to forgive/ the broken promises/ have caused heartache in the chest/ coughing and gasping/ it’s hard to breathe/ my lungs are dying out/ you were my air/ the life within me/ when I felt like dying/ you were my resurrection/ the thing worth living for/ and now I sit and wonder/ how it all ended this way/ how It got to this point/ where the feelings we felt/ have now gone away/ what’s left isn’t love/ what’s left isn’t hate/ it’s nothing but pain/ and wanting to hate/ losing control/ nothing’s the same/ you said it was nothing/ to try and forgive/ you handed me the knife/ you stabbed me in the heart/ when you said you cared/ with all of your heart..
