Perhaps I should have stayed, to really know you well.

I only glanced from a distance, and then I went away.



Now that you're gone, you're memory escapes me day by day.

Regretting and remembering is what I do today.



Perhaps I should have lingered, when you said "Hello"

But all I did was smile and looked away from you.



Chances are, we will never cross each other's path again.

And perhaps this is the reason,why my life is flat and gray.



Someday, when the tides have turned, and you come back to me.

Wouldn't it be nice if you can chat and try to stay.



This time I will see to it, that I am awed and very still.

And then Perhaps, I will be singing my tunes so very well.
