SHE HASN'T ANY FRIENDS;
NO ONE TALKS TO HER.
SHE SITS ALONE;
NO ONE INVITES HER TO SIT WITH THEM.
SHE GOES HOME TO AN EMPTY APARTMENT;
NO ONE IS WAITING FOR HER THERE.
SHE DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE;
SHE'S ALWAYS AT HOME.
AT NIGHT, SHE SLEEPS ALONE;
THERE'S NO ONE TO HOLD HER TIGHT.
SHE HASN'T ANY MORE DREAMS;
THERE'S NO ONE TO SHARE THEM WITH.
"WHO'S THAT GIRL?" SOMEONE ASKS.
SHE LOOKS UP TO SEE THEM STARING AT HER
AND SHE REPLIES, "MY NAME IS NOBODY.
I'M THE ONE WHO HELPS YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT.
I'M THE ONE WHO ALWAYS SAYS 'GOOD MORNING'.
I'M THE ONE WHO'D LOVE TO BE YOUR FRIEND.
I'M THE ONE YOU MAKE FUN OF AND CALL ME NAMES
BUT TO YOU ALL, MY NAME IS NOBODY."

Beautiful in its poignant
Beautiful in its poignant respect . . .

I don't know if this piece is written about yourself, but just because someone doesn't know your name,does not mean you are not recognized. You are remembered in the heart by what you do not by name,not by acolades,and with that in mind you are never a nobody..I live in an apt complex and live alone. A handful of people inhere know my literal name and most by sight though not all know me really personally.I've lived here since 1999 and have helped neighbors I don't even know the names of. It is knowing that you can help others without expectations in return that you have left your impact on their heart and that is all that really matters in the end..
