The sense of wonder he instills in my soul
is unparallel to anything I’ve felt before.
Even when afar, he is always by my side.
 
“He makes me want to be a better person” – too cliché.
He robbed my heart, brought optimism to my spirit,
and I feel alive today.
 
Tomorrow’s on my mind.
When will I see him again?
…the possibilities are endless and invoke exhilaration within.
 
While I daydream of the
sparks flashing amid our fingertips,
I find refuge in my memory’s eclipse.
 
Echoes of laughter fill my heart and surrounding space,
both quiver with excitement
when I think about the next embrace.
 
In the meantime, I yearn to feel
the gentle in his touch,
the protection in his arms,
the wonder in his eyes,
and the authenticity in his smile.
 
A daily dose would be ideal.
 
No longer do I dwell on the past,
the who, the when, or the how—
It’s all about the here and now.
 
I remember again that even when afar,
He is always by my side.
