We both come from broken pasts

Which makes it hard to trust

With every fiber of my soul

I want to show you this is more than lust

I think of you from morning to night

Making me smile when you're not around

I love the way you touch my skin, and

Try so hard to turn my frown upside down

I don't want to make you jealous

For I have eyes that only see you

I see you in my present and in my future

And I feel I knew you in the past too

The ying to my yang

The darkness to the light

You are my other half

Together we shall shine bright
